Increase in National Minimum Wage

On 1 April – the National Living Wage for people aged 21 and over has increased from £10.42 to £11.44 per hour!

Full-time workers on this wage can expect to earn approximately £1,000 more per year.

Apprentices and younger employees have also seen rate rises; 16 to 17 year olds will earn £6.40 per hour, 18 to 20 year olds will earn £8.60 per hour, and apprentices will earn £6.40 per hour.

A quick reminder: failing to pay eligible employees the National Living Wage will result in a fine from HMRC.
